Yahoo! Makes Pact with Twitter
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – In the coming months, Yahoo! will be integrating micro-blog Twitter into nearly all of its products and pages, including Yahoo! Digital Coupons Surpass Newspaper Coupons 10 to 1
MOUTNAIN VIEW, Calif. – released its annual data regarding digital coupons and found that the method increased by 170 percent during 2009. Del Taco Boosting Fan Base and Offers Through Facebook
NEW YORK – Quick food chain Del Taco was able to boost its fan base on Facebook from 20,000 to 43,000 in five weeks after launching an entertainment Webisode platform, reports MediaPost. TV Ad Budgets to Flatten and Then Decline
NEW YORK – An Association of National Advertisers (ANA) and Forrester Research survey finds that 62 percent of national advertisers say that TV advertising is less effective than it used to be, reports MediaPost. The survey, representing 100 national advertisers and about $14 billion in measured media budgets, reveals that while they still express some faith in 30-second spots, the group also expressed dissatisfaction with current measurement techniques and a desire for more targeted ads with greater relevance.  Rauxa Direct, a direct marketing agency headquartered in Orange County, Calif., announces the move of its Manhattan office. Now located at 100 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY, 10013, the larger space has been acquired to accommodate a growing staff responsible for an expanding clientele and increased billings.

 Active Network promotes Lauren Guinn to the position of senior director of marketing for its golf and resort division. Guinn has been with Active for 10 years, working in the media and marketing division, and most recently was the division’s senior director of marketing.

 The Marketing Research Association (MRA) opens voting for its annual board of directors election. MRA members can vote by paper ballot found in their March issue of MRA’s Alert! Magazine or by proxy online.

 GSI Commerce Inc. and the National Football League (NFL) have signed a new multi-year extension to their E-commerce agreement. Under the agreement, which runs to 2014, GSI will continue to provide the NFL’s online store with E-commerce technology, merchandising, fulfillment, customer care solutions and catalog services. Also, TrueAction, a GSI Commerce company, expands its portfolio into international markets with the re-design and launch of Peak Performance’s online store. Peak Performance is the largest sportswear outfitter in Sweden and one of the 11 fashion brands of IC Companys.  

 Alliance Data Systems Corp., a provider of loyalty and marketing solutions derived from transaction-rich data, announces that its Epsilon subsidiary has signed a multi-year agreement with La Quinta Inns to provide permission-based E-mail marketing services. It also agreed to continue to support and the management of La Quinta Returns, its frequent guest program.

 The Institute for International Research (IIR) launches a new affiliate marketing/performance marketing event. The Performance Marketing Expo will take place Sept. 27-29 in South Beach at the Miami Beach Convention Center and will feature educational sessions, industry speakers, affiliates with proven earning power, online retailers, and affiliate networks.

 DW Advertising, based in Minneapolis, recently produced a new DRTV campaign for Miracle-Ear starring actor Patrick Duffy. On-air performance for this better-hearing brand has been outstanding with control beating cost-per-appointment results.

 Macromark, a member of the Dream Team Direct alliance, has signed an agreement with Dr. Knoll’s health products to service their direct mail list buying needs.
