 ShopNBC launched a new mobile E-commerce site, as well as a second version of its ShipNBC iPhone application. Both initiatives will enable new and returning customers to shop and place orders directly from mobile devices.  

 The Ericsson IPTV Remote is a new device for controlling the TV and other media devices throughout the connected home. It’s a single interface for controlling Internet video, TV (both live and on-demand), PC and the mobile phone in the home. It also provides a second screen for previewing content, exploring program guides, browsing the Web and chatting with friends and family without a window on the TV screen.

 LG Electronics USA is extending its relationship with TARGUSinfo to further support LG’s commitment to deliver world-class service to consumers. TARGUSinfo, a leader in On-Demand Insight about prospects and customers, makes it easier for LG Electronics customer service agents to identify and better serve the needs of more than 25,000 inbound callers per week. 

 TNS announces a new Web evaluation service, Web Performance Optimizer, which not only identifies areas of a brand’s Web site that are underperforming but also recommends how they can enhance their Web site for optimal performance. The new service, WPO, combines the Web evaluation capabilities of TNS WebEval with the dynamic Web analytics of Compete.

 The “World’s Greatest Spokesperson in the World” has shocked the world again by returning from retirement to appear in a new ad campaign for Nationwide Insurance. As Super Bowl ad buzz subsides, the new campaign was unveiled this past weekend during the Olympics, and NASCAR races in Daytona. 

 Money Mailer announces that it has raised $1 million during the past four years for Children’s Miracle Network, a children’s charity that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals. Money Mailer raises funds through employee donations as well as franchisees contributing a portion of their advertising sales to their local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

 Hank and Arleen Rossi, principals of EEC, merge their corporate identities, personnel and resources with SKO Brenner American.

 Active Intl., a corporate trade organization, has augmented its media buying organization with key hires in response to the growing need for strategic ROI-driven direct response services from clients and the media alike. Hires include Carol Jenss as senior vice president, director of strategic service and Tom Turner as vice president, broadcast director. 

 Verified Audit Circulation, a provider of circulation auditing, research and verification of delivery services to the publishing and advertising industries, releases the initial round of Integrated Media Audit Reports for Questex Media Group LLC. The reports measure the integrated audience across all engagement channels including print, online, E-newsletters, events and Webinars.

 Newgistics Inc., a provider of small parcel delivery and returns management solutions, promotes Todd Everett to vice president of operations. Everett joined Newgistics in 2005 as the director of operations.

 After a busy and encouraging pre-launch phase, Jusuru Intl. Inc. has announced its official launch. The pilot ramp-up period was designed to simultaneously test its first product and the marketing concept developed to sell the product, Jusuru Life Blend, a liquid nutritional supplement whose key ingredient is the multi-patented BioCell Collagen II.

 SteelMaster Buildings, which celebrates its 28th anniversary this month, distributes prefabricated steel and metal buildings and to date has amassed many thousands of satisfied customers worldwide with buildings located in every state in the United States, on six continents, and in more than 40 countries.

 Rugly Holdings Inc., the parent company of Custom Toll Free, has acquired the assets of Venturis Systems Inc., a Colorado-based provider of toll free number services. Venturis Systems’ assets will be blended into Custom Toll Free operations to help the Seattle-based company continue its growth plans.
