Nationwide unveiled a new national advertising campaign called “I am On Your Side,” featuring Nationwide employees and agents sharing true stories about how they contribute to an outstanding personalized experience for customers. Telecommunications firm Vonage selects Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day New York as its advertising agency and sister agency PHD as its media agency.

Avalanche Creative hires Jennifer Marks as account manager. After working with clients such as Anheuser-Busch, the MTA and CURE Auto Insurance and at ad agencies Lowe Worldwide and Korey Kay & Partners, Marks makes the leap to Avalanche to spearhead client services.

NTT DOCOMO Inc. and Oak Lawn Marketing Inc. (OLM) have entered into an equity alliance in which DOCOMO will acquire 51 percent of OLM for about $310 million. The companies will develop and enhance mobile E-commerce marketing.

PBandJ Partners receives the 2009 Gold EMPixx Award for its commercial “Ped Egg For Men,” created and produced for Telebrands. PBandJ Partners’ campaign helped make the Ped Egg Telebrands’ best-selling product in 2008.

CarDomain Network, an automotive online community, acquires, a leader in automotive video file sharing. The combined company will continue both domains, reaching an audience of more than five million unique users per month.

Vertis Communications, a marketing services provider of targeted print advertising and direct marketing solutions, has integrated Adobe Scene7 – a hosted rich media platform for E-commerce and multi-channel marketing – as part of Vertis’ rich media services.

Jump Technologies Inc. launches Nabbit Ads, a platform that allows anyone listening to radio or watching TV show to “Nabb” — or bookmark — an ad or content they like using a mobile phone. Ads Nabbed are saved in their Nabbit account and shared in social media networks with friends and family where it has the ability to grow virally on the web. The process works in the same way for print and outdoor.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch lays off 59 employees in most of the newspaper’s departments in response to a sharp decline in advertising revenue.
