Marc Haskelson is named COO of Concept 2 Consumer, a new idea from BJ Global Direct that allows new and existing direct marketers to find a turnkey solution for the DRTV market. Most recently, Haskelson was the vice president of business development for Litle & Co.

Mercury Media is named the advertising agency of record for eDiets.com Inc. The agency is responsible for all aspects of DRTV advertising media buying for the online provider of personalized nutrition, fitness and weight-loss programs, including planning, media buying, results tracking and optimization.

Custom Toll Free appoints Rick DeCamp as vice president of business development. In his new position, DeCamp will lead product marketing and business development at the company for a new line of business centered on E-commerce technology solutions.

Horizon Media has arranged a partnership for GEICO with the National Hockey League beginning with the current season. The deal brands GEICO as the official insurance partner for the NHL as represented at the 2010 Bridgestone Winter Classic outdoor game in Boston on New Year’s Day. The partnership includes national TV inventory on NBC throughout the season.

The Small Business Commerce Association (SBCA), a San Francisco-based group that offers tactical guidance to small-business owners, has recognized Phoenix-based Higher Power Marketing (HPM) with its 2009 Best of Business Award in the marketing consulting services category.
