The DMA, the global trade association of businesses and nonprofit multi-channel direct marketers, will begin a search for a new President and CEO to replace John A. Greco, Jr. Greco has resigned his role this week and the DMA has organized a search committee to identify possible candidates.

Thane Direct and inventor John Abdo are back together for the worldwide rollout of the AbDoer Twist, which is scheduled to reach every region of the world, from the U.S. to Europe, Latin America to Asia, the Pacific Rim to the Middle East. At the center of the AbDoer Twist campaign is a half-hour infomercial.

Hawthorne Direct opens a Salt Lake City office dedicated to digital services under recently appointed Director of Digital/Interactive Media Aaron Raymond.

Gold Mountain Media welcomes Mandy Durbin as director of marketing and client services for the Los Angeles-based agency. Mandy brings 15 years of long-form advertising experience in both sales and client relations, and will report directly to owner Mark Knudsen.

SKO Brenner American and Eastern Collection Corp. merge their two financial service companies to maximize the customer retention, billing and collection services offered by each group.

Sandi Davis John is named sales manager for CDS Global in Canada. In this role, she will find new business opportunities within the subscription fulfillment industry as well as new markets with the company’s order management and product fulfillment, remittance and lockbox processing and On-Demand solutions. In addition, the company is proud to announce the launch of its Web-based reporting suite InFOCUS. Circ+ is one solution within the InFOCUS reporting suite, customized for the publishing industry clients.

Adam J. Block is named the newest group account director at Inter/Media Advertising after an 11-year stint at Initiative, where he was most recently account director/associate media director.

QVC is recognized as a top 10 retailer for customer service, ranking fifth in the NRF Foundation/American Express 2009 Customers’ Choice survey. Presented on Jan. 12 at the National Retail Federation’s 99th Annual Convention and EXPO, the survey also revealed that the multi-media retailer jumped three spots from its 2008 ranking. Also, Mitch Goldstein has recently joined QVC as general manager of on-air, responsible for the integration of the company’s merchandising strategies with its live programming.
