ITV Direct, Sea Vegg Presidents Respond to ERSP Findings, FTC Referral
PHOENIX — InPulse Response Group, one of the leading telesales companies in the direct response market, is celebrating its 10th year in the DR business — and having a record year in the process. To commemorate the anniversary and thank a number of its industry colleagues for their support over the years, InPulse president and CEO Steve Pittendrigh hosted more than three dozen industry leaders — including Response Publisher John Yarrington — on a three-day retreat at the Sonara Resort in British Columbia, Canada.

More than 25 DR companies were represented at the event, which included salmon fishing, bear watching, zodiac boat tours, high-stakes shuffleboard and motivational speaker, Dr. Robert Cialdini, an expert in the psychology of persuasion.
"We could not have made it 10 years in this business without our key associates and partners," says Pittendrigh. "This retreat was possible only because of the people present on it. It was a fantastic time for everybody involved to catch up with old friends and make new networking partners."
After a strong 2004, InPulse has built on the momentum, setting new records in a number of areas for the direct response telesales company. "It's been an absolutely fantastic run," Pittendrigh adds. "While we're fortunate to have such great partners in the DR world, our own staff has gone above and beyond to help build InPulse into the leader it is today."

- 1. BJ Global Direct welcomes Chariti Pollard as vice president of business development for the BJ Global group of companies. Pollard joins the company to help build business development in all aspects of the DRTV business in both the domestic and foreign markets. Keith Davis became the new operations manager, and Ebru Acar was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing. BJ Global Digital, the latest corporation added to the BJ Global group of companies, announces the appointment of Dan Dunn and Kip Hall as directors and producers. BJ Global Direct also announces the opening of BJ Global Distribution in London. Heading the operation is Q Fazeli, director of business development and retail. The warehouse facility also serves as a distribution center for DRTV operators in the region, as well as for retail operations to have timely access to inventory.

- 1. Toronto's Northern Lights Direct Response Television bows a new DRTV campaign for Sports Illustrated magazine. The 60- and 120-second spots are designed to sell subscriptions to the famed sports publication.
