DRTV agency Atomic Direct receives the international Communicator Award for Kreg Tool and System Pavers. Atomic Direct won the Silver Award for the 30-minute DRTV show for Kreg Tool and the “Patio” DRTV spot for System Pavers.

Mercury Media announces the creation its full-service specialty practice, Mercury en Espanol, the first direct response advertising industry to offer Hispanic, in-language advertisers a full suite of general market, integrated direct response services.

Two established investors in media – ZM Capital and Palladium Equity Partners – make a significant investment in Cannella Response Television that will allow it to expand its current offering of media products to major DRTV advertisers. In addition, Veronis Suhler Stevenson will provide mezzanine debt financing along with equity co-investment in the transaction through its VSS Structured Capital II fund.

Paul Quintal is named president of Revenue Enhancement Consultants (REC), a performance marketing solutions for electronic retailers and DR marketers. Quintal recently led sales, marketing and business development for Trump University, speaking at Response Expo 2007 during that stint.

Canadian DR agency Kingstar Media announces the full integration of the Catalyst Air Date Management System into its media management software. Catalyst is used to manage Kingstar’s short- and long-form airings, pay stations, bill clients, track responses and profitability.

Northern Response is appointed the international distributor of the DRTV product “Slap Chop,” the follow-up product from world famous pitchman, Vince Offer.

British Telecom Head of Organizational Development and Design Kathryn Pritchard is appointed global talent director of iris Worldwide, an integrated marketing agency based in London.

Moxie Interactive, a division of Zenith Media Services, says goodbye to co-founder and CEO Kris Zagoria. Joel Lunenfeld, chief innovation officer and long-time partner of Zagoria’s, will assume the CEO position.

According to research published by Internet Retailer in its recent Top 500 Guide, GSI Commerce Inc. is the most frequently selected E-commerce technology and services provider among the nation’s top 500 online retailers. GSI is mentioned more than 330 times across retailers and brands in the multiple categories researched.  Also, GSI launches ShipQuick, a proprietary package-delivery program for its clients.

C Spot Run Productions LLC, a direct response creative production and campaign management agency, wins honors at the 30th Annual Telly Awards in five categories for three short-form commercials: The Outlaw Trail Music Collection, Fitrainer and SosaDerm.

Northern Lights Direct Response is named direct response television agency of record for the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC), the leading land conservation organization in Canada. Northern Lights will be responsible for creating NCC’s long-form and short-form DRTV and DR online campaigns, as well as managing the media buy.

Motivational Fulfillment & Logistics Services announces the opening of its third facility. The new building will primarily service Motivational’s growing 4PL retail distribution and allow it to add services for existing and incoming clients.
