Darren Fisher joins Direct Response Media Inc., a DRTV management company, as executive vice president and general manager, while Robert P. Portaro joins the company as director of new business development. Previously, Fisher provided client-side media consulting to Murad Inc., and also served as director of business development for DirectAvenue. Portaro worked at Livemercial Inc., where he served as executive vice president and worked closely to integrate the company’s streaming video technology with Internet marketing.

Ignite Media Solutions announces the addition of Gary Smith, CIO, and Tom Murphy, CTO, to its executive team.

GSI Commerce Inc. has expanded its E-commerce partnership with Toys “R” Us Inc. to include the company’s newly acquired and brands.

Moulton Logistics Management now offers clients the Moulton Campaign Manager. Part of the company’s fully integrated, Web-based campaign management and decision support platform, Campaign Manager lets users administer nearly every aspect of their marketing campaigns in addition to providing online management and distribution of digital creative files and other shared documents.

Time Warner Cable Inc. and Time Warner Inc. have elected to complete the separation of the two companies through a spin-off distribution involving a pro-rata dividend of all of the Time Warner Cable common stock held by Time Warner to Time Warner stockholders. The separation should be complete by the end of the current quarter.

Fern Lee, Paul Levinsohn and other investment partners join together to launch Factor Nutrition Labs LLC (FNL). FNL was formed to acquire and develop nutritional supplement and health-related consumer products and will marketing and distribute products through retail, DR, radio, online and international channels.

Six of the top infomercials on TV today were produced by Concepts TV: Heat Surge Fireplace, Twin Draft Guard, Barack Obama Victory Plate, Wonder Hangers, Pro Caulk and EZ Combs.

DRTV agency ShadowBox Direct completes a short-form DRTV campaign with spokesperson Meredith Baxter for Consumer Cellular, a service with no long-term contracts and low rate plans.

Dukky, a direct marketing agency specializing in the creation of trackable co-op gift card campaign, has signed an agreement with New Orleans Home and Garden Show to create a pre-show campaign targeting 100,000 potential exhibitors, increasing attendance to the show and allowing exhibitors to make an offer in advance. launches the first media-buying marketplace specifically built for advertisers and advertising salespeople in local markets throughout the country. The space allows buyers and sellers to communicate freely and acts as an open marketplace for advertising space.

Kingstar Media, a direct response media company in Canada, makes two new appointments: Jake Willitts, general manager, and Anat Freed, media director, short-form/operations manager.

Revenue Frontier, a deliverer of satellite direct response programming, produces “Celebrity Shopping Network,” a twenty-four-hour-a-day revenue generating programming service. The network provides broadcasters an established revenue stream for new digital channel expansion, given them complete flexibility in scheduling the satellite feed which features programming anchored by celebrity endorsed DR products.
