Cannella Response Television has secured the rights to the Web domain www.drtv.com, which will now serve as Cannella’s corporate Web site.

DRTV agency InfoWorx wins three more awards for excellence. The company’s 30-minute infomercial for the weight management tool C-Fabaline won a Remi Award. InfoWorx also received a Merit award for the Memacin short-form DRTV spot and a Summit Award for the EZ Par DRTV campaign.

QVC Inc. promotes Jim Powel to vice president of consumer insights, where he will support long-range planning, testing and development of new business opportunities by monitoring trends in the consumer and competitor landscapes.

Despite the growing popularity of viewing television online, a recent survey by The Nielsen Co. for the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) found that 94 percent of adults who subscribe to cable or satellite TV prefer to watch programming on traditional sets.

The Omnicom Group opens G23, an agency that will focus specifically on consulting for communications marketed at women. Senior female heads across Omnicom companies, representing every marketing discipline, will lead G23 while continuing to manage their existing positions.

NBC Universal names Adam Stotsky president of NBC Entertainment marketing where he will oversee the promotion of the prime-time, late-night and daytime programs. Stotsky was previously executive vice president of global strategy and market development at NBC Universal’s Sci-Fi Channel.
