Latino Media Services (LMS) launches its second new Web site of 2008, productosentv.com, helping LMS Participants and global product suppliers sell products more efficiently throughout Latin America.

Hawthorne Direct receives the Award of Excellence in the Commercial/Infomercial category from the 2008 Accolade Competition for its Valcent Nova Skin Care System campaign. The company also received an Honorable Mention in the Commercial/Infomercial category for the High Plains Bison Short Form.

Backchannelmedia Inc. and WJAR-TV, NBC Channel 10, in Providence, R.I., announce that the station will begin testing Backchannelmedia’s TV-to-Internet click through technology beginning this summer. Another major market test will be performed by WMUR-TV, ABC Channel 9, in Manchester, N.H.

Triton Technologies Inc. hires Matthew Bock as vice president of business development. The 10-year veteran most recently was director of client services at InPulse Response Group, now part of West Corporation.

Renetta McCann, global chief executive of Publicis Groupe’s Starcom MediaVest Group, steps down as CEO and takes a one-year sabbatical. Laura Desmond, CEO of the Americas division, will replace her.

SendTec Inc. launches SEMpc (Search Engine Marketing – Performance Consulting), a new division that will offer individualized strategic consulting services to medium and large-sized companies.

Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. and GSI Commerce Inc. announce a five-year extension to their long-term E-commerce Web technology agreement. GSI will continue to provide Polo Ralph Lauren with E-commerce solutions and the retailer will continue to support its own customer care center and fulfillment services through its new 330,000-square foot facility.

Broadcaster Media, a mobile marketing solution enabling brands to rapidly create and deliver interactive content, announces the launch of its mobile advertising platform in the United States. Originally based in Australia, the U.S. launch will be an advertising solution for the beauty and fashion magazine, “Salon City.”

Keith Sheridan is appointed executive vice president, technology solutions, for MBS. Sheridan will be responsible for building and executing strategic initiatives for Klondike, MBS’ online marketing database solution.

Channel M, a digital retail video network, names Dennis Quinn as president of sales and marketing. Quinn formerly worked in traditional media sales and operations during his tenure at Turner Broadcasting System Inc.

Thevimarcgroup appoints Kirk Bastyr to the newly created position of vice president and director of account services. Most recently, Bastyr was vice president of operations at Arends, a Chicago-based advertising and marketing agency.

Baha Mar Resorts Ltd. appoints Richard G. English as senior vice president of sales and marketing. English will also retain his position as Baha Mar’s senior vice president of residential sales.

STAR Marketing, a network of Omnicom Group customer experience management agencies, launches STAR Healthcare, an integrated, personalized communications program across specialist relationship marketing disciplines. The model helps the patient with communication throughout the entire patient journey from symptom to diagnosis and self-management.

DRTV agency Cesari Direct is honored with the award, “2007 Automotive Infomercial of the Year,” a Greensheet Award for Infomercial Excellence, for its creativity in the Eagle One’s Nanowax DRTV campaign.
