FTC Says You Can’t ‘Gag’ Truthful Negative Consumer Reviews 
In September, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed suit against a marketer doing business as Roca Labs for making unsubstantiated weight-loss claims for a supplement that promised weight-loss results that would be similar to having gastric bypass surgery – but without the surgery. Roca Labs implied that it had scientific proof of its supplement’s efficacy, when it didn’t.

DraftKings claimed the seventh annual DRMA Marketer of the Year Award last Wednesday night, thanks to its creative and media strategies, innovative technology and product development, and a powerful customer acquisition strategy in both offline and online media. The award was presented in front of more than 750 attendees at a ceremony and cocktail event at Drai’s Rooftop Nightclub at The Cromwell Las Vegas. The video will be unveiled at the ECFJC’s Fifth Anniversary Building Bridges of Hope Gala during Domestic Violence Awareness Month on October 27.
