1. One of the primary drivers of Hearthware’s success during the past year has been our ability to listen to and respond to the needs of our customers. What we heard consumers saying to us was that they loved the convenience, environmental-consciousness and health benefits of the NuWave Oven and were interested in a larger product suite under the NuWave umbrella that could continue to meet those standards. To that end, we were pleased to broaden our imprint on the housewares sector with the debut of the NuWave Precision Induction Cooktop, the PerfectGreen Cookware, Flavor-Lockers vacuum-seal storage containers and L’ovenware Silicone Bakeware. All of these products were developed with the principles of safe, convenient, healthy and Eco-friendly cooking in mind.
2. The second factor in our annual success was the concerted effort to launch products that work symbiotically in the kitchen. Everything we design, manufacture and sell to the consumer can work as a stand-alone tool or as part of an interactive system. For example, the L’ovenware Silicone Baking Kit works wonderfully for baking foods in the NuWave Oven. The induction-ready PerfectGreen Fry Pan is a tremendous accessory for the NuWave PIC. And leftovers from any cooking method can be stored up to 10 times longer with the vacuum-seal power of Flavor-Lockers. Hearthware has come a long way toward achieving its goal of providing comprehensive kitchen solutions for busy individuals and families.
3. And none of this would be possible without the creative, innovative and dedicated work of Hearthware’s employees, most certainly the third major reason behind our accomplishments of the last 12 months. Our talented staff has been absolutely successful at working together to stay in front of emerging trends while promoting existing bestsellers, such as the 2.5 million NuWave Ovens we’ve sold.

Hearthware, Inc. was humbled by last year’s recognition from the Direct Response Marketing Alliance as the DRMA Marketer of the Year. From there our fortunes continued to rise. We have overseen the expansion of our brand and the launch of several new products including the NuWave Precision Induction Cooktop, a finalist at the International Housewares Design Awards this past January in the countertop appliance category. With our flagship product, the NuWave Oven and the debut of the NuWave PIC, we now have two shows which consistently place at or near the top of the Jordan Whitney rankings.
