Zumba Fitness LLC hosted 7,000 licensed Zumba instructors at its eighth annual convention in Orlando, Fla., last month. The convention gives instructors access to new tools and programs, while serving as the hub to catch up with friends, enjoy incredible performances, and, of course, dance.

Amazon launches a new download option for iOS and Android devices that enables subscribers to view movies and TV shows while they are offline, for no added charge. Prime members have already been able to download video on Fire devices.

LG announces that it will release a free upgrade for its WebOS smart-TV platform later this month that will expand its roster of content partners to include 4K and HD streaming of DirecTV content. Other new content partners include the iHeartRadio and Rdio music streaming services.

The number of TV households measured by Nielsen will remain the same this season as it was last – 116.4 million.

Jessica Alba’s all-natural product line, the Honest Company, is hit with a lawsuit that claims it “deceptively and misleadingly” labels and markets its products as being “natural.” Consumer Jonathan D. Rubin claims that a number of products contain “unnatural” and “synthetic” ingredients and also says that the Honest Sunscreen product is “ineffective.”

comScore reports digital advertising is expected to become the top media category in 2016. Revenue for the category totaled $49.5 billion in 2014, up 16 percent from the previous year. The first quarter of 2015 had $13.3 billion in revenue, also a rise of 16 percent from the year-earlier period. Digital advertising is now equal to about 80 percent of TV ad spend and is forecast to surpass TV next year.

New projections from the International Data Corporation (IDC) say that “programmatic TV” spend will top $17.3 billion in the U.S. by 2019, up from $69 million in 2014. By that time, predicts IDC, “programmatic ad spend in linear TV will outgrow that in streaming video” and digital real-time bidding.
