Comcast is introducing data caps in Chicago. Starting Aug. 1, Comcast’s broadband customers in Chicago who consume more than 1 terabyte (TB) of data per month will face overages ranging from $10 to $200.

LG Electronics USA names Horizon Media as its media agency of record. The incumbent was WPP’s Mindshare. Horizon Media will oversee communications planning and paid media activation across all channels for LG Electronics’ three primary U.S divisions – home appliances, home entertainment, and mobile phones. Last year, LG Electronics spent $415 million on advertising, according to Kantar Media.

AdsWizz, an ad tech company for digital audio, launches PodWave, an ad marketplace designed for podcasts. The marketplace will allow premium publishers access to ad content, and advertisers easier access to the audiences and metrics of podcasts. Some 56 million Americans listen to podcasts every month, according to Edison Research.

CBS names Fox syndication veteran Paul Franklin as president of CBS Television Distribution. Franklin will oversee all operations for CBS’s domestic syndication company, which includes syndicated shows “Judge Judy,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Dr. Phil,” “Jeopardy!” and ”Wheel of Fortune,” among others.

A Netflix customer sues the online video company for allegedly reneging on its promise to charge just $7.99 a month for life. He’s seeking to bring a class action on behalf of at least 22 million Netflix customers.

Mindstream Interactive, a full-service digital agency in Columbus, Ohio, merges with Marquette Group, a national marketing agency.
