Targeting Ads Based on TV Viewing Data  
WESTMINSTER, Colo. – It looks as if digital ad buyers can now target ads to consumers online based on what TV shows they watch. So claims a company called Datalogix, which is partnering with TRA – a firm that TiVO acquired this summer that has TV viewing data from cable boxes in more than 4 million U.S. homes.

Smartphones Take Gold; Tablets, Silver  
NEW YORK – Sure, they have small screens and keyboards, but smartphones are making the grade among consumers and have now been deemed the “dominant mobile devices of today, particularly among Generations X and Y,” according to a recent study by the customer research company, GfK Media.

A Directory of Networks Selling VOD Ads Now Available 
NEW YORK – It’s being called a first and it may well be: A directory of TV networks currently accepting advertising on their video-on-demand (VOD) content. The directory, hosted by the American Association of Advertising Agencies, ad agency data processing firm Mediaocean, and TV audience measurement firm Rentrak, shares the most current view of which networks actually insert ads into their VOD programming.

Hawthorne Direct, a direct response advertising agency, recently named Jessica Hawthorne-Castro vice president of operations and client services, where she’ll execute best practices in business operations and take on increased bottom line responsibility.

Meritus Payment Solutions, a global payments service provider, is partnering with OrderLogix, which provides business-to-consumer order management solutions. Under the agreement, OrderLogix will extend its call center edition and commerce edition offerings to include Meritus Payment Solutions’ gateway payment XP.

Harte-Hanks Inc., a direct and targeted marketing company, has announced the following personnel changes: Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing president Gary Skidmore recently announced his departure from the company. Brian Dames has been named executive vice president of customer solutions. Jeannine Falcone has been named executive vice president of customer strategy and engagement. Tony Paul has been named executive vice president of customer delivery and has also been promoted to corporate vice president. Andrew Harrison has been named executive vice president of people and has also been promoted to corporate vice president.

Mannatech Inc., the provider of naturally sourced supplements, and Integrated Distribution and Logistics Direct LLC announce they have entered into a services agreement that will expand Mannatech's warehousing and distribution reach from one Dallas-based warehouse to add two additional strategically placed distribution centers on both the East and West coasts. DRMA member SP Express will provide warehousing and fulfillment services for Mannatech, which the company believes will result in reduced costs and improved service to its U.S. independent distributors and customers.

Wantful, a new retail destination targeting those who seek to buy gifts, announces it has hired Pamela Seidman as vice president of branding and communications.
