Response Expo 2012 Guests Flood Show Floor17 May, 2012 By: Jackie Jones
SAN DIEGO – It took no time at all for the Response Expo Hall floor to fill up, with attendees flooding the Expo Hall nearly the minute its doors opened up at 10 a.m. From the Expo Hall floor itself, to the Inventors Pavilion and Mercury Media Lounge just adjacent to the Expo Hall doors, to the Beer and Wine Garden patio outside, rooms were packed and conversations were flowing just 10 minutes into the morning.
Attendees mixed and mingled on the Expo Hall floor, which featured a bevy of prominent booths including those of Thill Logistics, Icon Media Direct, Wide Orbit and Swipe Payment Solutions, as well as the New Product Pavilion showcasing soon-to-be successes as well as top DR hits including the AB-DOer Twist, the NuWave Infrared Oven, Top Chips Kit, InstaHang, Hot Booties, The FIRM Express and much more.
Amid all the nonstop networking on the Expo Hall floor, exhibitors made sure to do what DR seems to do best – make work fun! Expo Hall floor guests took time to pose for pictures in the Spyker C8 Spyder on display at the Thill Logistics booth, try their hand at winning some prizes at the various carnival games hosted by Swipe Payment Solutions’ booth, and of course get their caffeine fix from Icon Media Direct, who was offering unique energy boosts for Expo guests on the go.
The Inventors Pavilion also drew steady crowds of Expo guests interested in speaking with the minds behind the next potential direct response hit products. Crowd favorites included the Sae Arc, a wooden pillow back stretcher, and the Poop Pac, a small clutch to cover any unexpected needs of your friendly neighborhood dog walker.
Both Response Expo regulars and first-time attendees found Day One of the Expo Hall floor to be beneficial and entertaining.
New to the Expo Hall floor this year at Response Expo was the Beer and Wine Garden, sponsored by Face Time Strategy, Grand Slam Direct and Media Design Group; and the Energy Lounge, sponsored by Marketsmith, both which provided Expo attendees with their choice of complimentary beer, wine, coffee and energy drinks throughout the day.
The Expo Hall floor is open again today from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
