QVC Adds New Channel: QVC Plus

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Home shopping leader QVC added another channel last week – QVC Plus – which airs content from its main QVC network on a three-hour delay. The company says the new channel aims to maintain the QVC brand and television experience, including shows, exclusive products and program hosts.

The channel shows on-screen graphics indicating that it’s a pre-recorded show. Future plans include special programming shown only on the channel to further expand QVC's offerings. It also broadcasts live on QVC's website, and additional digital commerce functionality is forthcoming.

"One of the secrets of QVC's success is that we offer customers the joy of discovery," says Mary Campbell, senior vice president, multichannel platforms at QVC. "QVC Plus provides an additional discovery experience for our customers, and more ways to view our unique, ever-changing curation of people, places and finds."

Currently, digital commerce sales are 37 percent of QVC's global revenues, with 30 percent coming from mobile devices.

QVC's net revenue declined 1 percent in the second quarter to $2 billion. QVC's U.S. revenue increased 3 percent to $1.3 billion in the second quarter, primarily from growth in the beauty and home categories.
