It’s 13 for ’13: DRMA Announces Top Nominees for Marketer of the Year Award

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Direct Response Marketing Alliance (DRMA) and Response Magazine are proud to announce the top 13 nominees for the Fifth Annual DRMA Marketer of the Year Award.

Last year’s champion – SENSA Products LLC – returns to the competition, joining 12 other companies with spectacular success stories: Bosley, Euro-Pro LLC, Hampton Direct, LifeBrands Inc., Murad, Positec USA, Plymouth Direct/McAlister, Quten Research Institute LLC, TELEBrands Corp., Thane Direct, Tristar Products and Zumba Fitness.

“We’re thrilled to have 13 of the very best marketers in the direct, digital and data-driven world as part of the Fifth Annual DRMA Marketer of the Year competition,” says John Yarrington, publisher of Response and co-founder of the DRMA. “After allowing our Response Advisory Board to enter the initial nominees, it’s truly fitting that 13 companies have stepped up to the plate in 2013 to show what industry leadership is. Not only that, but it’s a real thrill to have two of our three finalists back from 2012, in SENSA and Hampton Direct.”

The prestigious award recognizes the outstanding performance, accomplishments and innovation of a marketing company in the direct response industry. Previous winners include SENSA Products LLC (2012) Hearthware (2011), Your Baby Can LLC (2010) and Allstar Marketing (2009). This year’s winner will be determined by an E-mail vote of more than 5,000 eligible voters from across the industry. Third-party independent online election company Balloteer will contact DRMA members along with other industry leaders to take part in the balloting, which begins August 19. The finalists and winner will be announced during a special event on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the exquisite Vanity Nightclub, located at the hip and lavish Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

An eclectic 14,000-square-foot jewel box, Vanity is adorned with pearls and hand-cut crystals fused with bronze and gold, surrounded by antique mirrors, rubbed brass and black chrome. With two marble bars, a sunken dance floor and VIP booths, the startling sumptuousness of velvets, deep satins and rich tapestries add to the gleaming textures throughout the club, creating a perfect backdrop of reflective brilliance – the perfect setting to honor the dazzling efforts of the industry’s top marketers.
