Editor’s Note: We’re Movin’ on Up!

Come With Us — and Let Us Know How We’re Doing


As we were taking this final issue of 2016 to print in late November, the Response team was also undertaking one of everyone’s least favorite activities: moving.

Fortunately, the move was fairly simple — just a two-mile shift — and it was for a great reason, as we’ve moved into a new office space in Irvine, Calif. (For the record, our new address is: 2600 Michelson Drive, Suite 1700, Irvine, CA 92612) But, as ever, when you move, you end up looking back just as much as you look ahead. Packing boxes with 16 years worth of items definitely brings back memories. It also allows you to dump a lot of previously important items that have become extraneous.

While the logistics of moving are never enjoyable — even with a crack group of professional relocation experts serving you — it’s often nice to have a fresh start. And fresh starts are even more enjoyable when your new location is an upgrade.

This new start is timely for our team in many ways. As we wrap up 2016 and look ahead to 2017, it is — as usual — time for us to begin focusing in on Response Expo 2017, which is slated for April 25-27 in San Diego. The event, which will be keynoted by inspirational boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, will focus deeply on the consumer journey — and the shifting roles that marketers, agencies, vendors, and media outlets play in it. While the changing of the calendar ratchets up planning for the Expo, that doesn’t mean we’re losing focus on the importance of Response Magazine. As a matter of fact, from this month’s Response Advisory Board roundtable delving into predictions about performance-based marketing in 2017 and beyond (click here) to our planned four-month series about the consumer journey (beginning next month and leading into the Expo) you can expect the magazine to deliver even more timely and insightful editorial content than ever before.

However, we can’t provide you with the best possible news and information if we don’t receive your feedback. What do you like? What’s not valuable to you? Though our recent location shift is a major step up — and not just because we’re on the top floor of our new building — and though we believe we’ve continually improved on our efforts with the magazine and Expo, as we move toward 2017, please keep an eye on what we’re providing.
